LAGOS TRAFFIC RADIO, LASTMA ENGAGE TOWARDS IMPROVED SERVICE DELIVERY

All is now set for the maiden edition of an engagement between Lagos Traffic Radio and Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) to explore avenues of providing traffic information, especially on road transportation amongst others, for improved service delivery and better public information.

A statement jointly signed by the General Managers, Lagos Traffic Radio and LASTMA, Messrs. Tayo Akanle and Bolaji Oreagba, said that the forum will further seek to create synergy between the two partner agencies in the advancement of traffic management, coordination, and reportage.

The release further revealed that the conversation will centre around improving service delivery geared towards achieving the Greater Lagos vision of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration, just as it will also speak directly to the Traffic Management and Transportation pillar of the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda.

It said that part of the objectives of such an epoch-making event is to ultimately add value to motoring and commuting in Lagos as it is important to enhance productivity through reduced travel time on the roads.

The forum, which has the theme ‘Repositioning of Traffic Information Agencies for Better Performance’, will have in attendance Lagos Traffic Radio On-Air Personalities (OAP), LASTMA Zonal Controllers and field officers amongst others and is slated for Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Radio Lagos/Eko FM Hall, LTV Complex, Ikeja from 10:00 am.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, will deliver the keynote address and declare the event open, while the Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Fredric Oladeinde and Special Adviser on Transportation, Mr. Toyin Fayinka, are expected to give goodwill messages at the programme.
